Fırça hücreleri naif fare trakea bulunan nadir kolinerjik kemoduyusal epitelyal hücrelerdir. Sınırlı sayılar nedeniyle, havayolu bağışıklık ve remodeling fonksiyonel rolünün ex vivo değerlendirilmesi zordur.
