Dieser Artikel beschreibt die Erzeugung eines orthotopischen Mausmodells des menschlichen Pleuramesothelioms durch Implantation von H2052/484 Mesotheliomzellen in die Pleurahöhle immungeschwächter athymischer Mäuse. Die Längsüberwachung der Entwicklung intrapleuraler Tumoren wurde durch nicht-invasive multimodale [18F]-2-Fluor-2-Deoxy-D-Glucose-Positronen-Emissionstomographie und Computertomographie untersucht.
