Una metodologia basata sulla gradiente di centrifugazione a densità modificata è stata utilizzata per isolare le cellule epiteliali del tessuto intestinale di Rhipicephalus microplus . Le proteine legate alle superfici sono state biotinilate e purificate mediante perline magnetiche di streptavidina per l'utilizzo nelle applicazioni a valle.
