Il moscerino della frutta (Drosophila melanogaster) è ampiamente utilizzato per la ricerca biologica e tossicologica. Per espandere l'utilità delle mosche, abbiamo sviluppato uno strumento, l'array di anestesia seriale, che espone simultaneamente più campioni di mosca agli anestetici generali volatili (VGA), rendendo possibile studiare gli effetti collaterali (tossici e protettivi) dei VGA.
