Vi udtrykte ectopically NR1 underenhed af NMDA-receptor markeret med grønt fluorescerende protein i humane embryonale celler (HEK293) som antigen til at opdage autoantistoffer mod NMDA receptor i blodet hos patienter mistænkt med autoimmun encephalitis. Denne enkle metode kan være egnet til screening i klinisk indstillinger.
