הפרוטוקול הנוכחי מתאר שיטה אופטימלית לתצפית היסטולוגית של גלים המושרים על ידי פלזמודיופורה brassicae. מקטעי ויברטומים של היפוקוטיל מנוקים לפני הדמיה פלואורסצנטית כדי לחקור את המעורבות של גורמי שעתוק ופיטוהורמונים במהלך התקדמות המחלה. פרוטוקול זה מתגבר על מגבלות הטמעת הרגם, ומאפשר הדמיה של חלבונים פלואורסצנטיים בצמחים.
