Describimos un protocolo para muestrear, preservar y seccionar raíces intactas y el suelo de la rizosfera circundante de ambientes de humedales utilizando arroz(Oryza sativa L.) como especie modelo. Una vez conservada, la muestra se puede analizar utilizando técnicas de imagen elemental, como la imagen de especiación química de fluorescencia de rayos X sincrotrón (XRF).
