Hier beschreven is een effectieve methode voor het produceren van hoge virale titer voorraden van hepatitis E-virus (HEV) om efficiënt te infecteren hepatoma cellen. Met de gepresenteerde methode kunnen zowel niet-omhulde, als omhulde virale deeltjes worden geoogst en gebruikt voor het inenten van verschillende cellijnen.
