هذه التقنية يوفر طريقة لجني، وتطبيع وقياس النمو داخل الخلايا من مسببات الأمراض البكتيرية التي تم مسبقا المزروعة في الطبيعية الخلايا المضيفة الأوالي قبل التهابات خلايا الثدييات. يمكن تعديل هذه الطريقة لاستيعاب مجموعة واسعة من الخلايا المضيفة للمرحلة فتيلة وكذلك أنواع الخلايا المستهدفة.
