Stereotaxische chirurgie om hersenlocaties bij muizen te targeten, omvat vaak toegang via de schedelbotten en wordt geleid door schedeloriëntatiepunten. Hier schetsen we een alternatieve stereotaxische benadering om de caudale hersenstam en het bovenste cervicale ruggenmerg te richten via de cisterna magna die afhankelijk is van directe visualisatie van hersenstamoriëntatiepunten.
