Het knooppunt en de notochordal plaat zijn voorbijgaande signalering organisatoren in het ontwikkelen van muis-embryo's die kunnen worden gevisualiseerd met behulp van verschillende technieken. Hier beschrijven we in detail hoe uit te voeren van twee van de technieken voor het bestuderen van hun structuur en morfogenese: 1) scanning elektronen microscopie (SEM); en 2) hele mount immunofluorescentie (WMIF).
