Die Ammoniakfaserexpansion (AFEX) ist eine thermochemische Vorbehandlungstechnologie, die lignozellulosehaltige Biomasse (z. B. Maisstover, Reisstroh und Zuckerrohrbagasse) in einen hochverdaulichen Rohstoff für Biokraftstoffe und Futtermittelumwandeln umwandeln kann. Hier beschreiben wir ein Laborverfahren zur Durchführung der AFEX-Vorbehandlung auf lignozellulosehaltiger Biomasse.
