Een high-throughput assay in vitro fenotype Salmonella of andere bacteriële vereniging, invasie en replicatie in fagocytische cellen met hoge doorvoer capaciteit ontwikkeld. De methode werd gebruikt om Salmonella-gen knock-out mutantstammen evalueren op hun betrokkenheid in gastheer-pathogeen interacties.
