Vi utvecklade en in vitro-modell som efterliknar en viktig komponent i den akuta inflammatoriska svaret vid infektion i urinblåsan med uropatogena Escherichia coli. Den transuroepithelial neutrofil migration assay möjliggör kvantitativ bedömning av human neutrofil migration över blåsan epitel, odlades på permeabla bärare, som svar på bakterieinfektion eller kemo-attraherande ämnen.
