Das vorliegende Protokoll beschreibt die Untersuchung neutrophiler Biofilmwechselwirkungen. Staphylococcus aureus Biofilme werden in vitro etabliert und mit peripheren aus Blut gewonnenen menschlichen Neutrophilen inkubiert. Die oxidative Burst-Reaktion von Neutrophilen wird quantifiziert, und die Neutrophilenlokalisation innerhalb des Biofilms wird mikroskopisch bestimmt.
