Her præsenterer vi en protokol for hurtig identifikation af proteiner produceret af genomisk sekventeret patogene bakterier ved hjælp af MALDI-TOF-TOF tandem massespektrometri og top-down proteomisk analyse med software udviklet in-house. Metastable proteinioner fragment på grund af aspartsyre effekt og denne specificitet udnyttes til protein identifikation.
