In vivo imaging is een krachtig hulpmiddel dat kan worden gebruikt om de cellulaire mechanismen die ten grondslag liggen aan de ontwikkeling van het zenuwstelsel te onderzoeken. Hier beschrijven we een techniek voor het gebruik van time-lapse confocale microscopie om grote aantallen multicolor Brainbow-gelabelde cellen in real time te visualiseren binnen het zich ontwikkelende zebraviszenuwstelsel.
