Nós descrevemos uma nova abordagem para a análise simultânea da função cerebral e estrutura usando ressonância magnética (MRI). O estudo de complexos sistemas computacionais é facilitada por mapas de rede, tais como diagramas de circuitos. Tal mapeamento é particularmente informativo quando se estuda o cérebro, como o papel funcional que cumpre uma área do cérebro pode ser em grande parte definidos por suas conexões com outras áreas do cérebro. Neste relatório, nós descrevemos um romance, a abordagem não-invasiva para relacionar a estrutura e função do cérebro usando ressonância magnética (MRI). Esta abordagem, de uma combinação de ligações de imagem estrutural de longo alcance e dados de imagem de fibras funcionais, é ilustrado em duas distintas cognitivas, atenção visual e percepção face. Imagem estrutural é realizada com imagem ponderada em difusão (DWI) e tratografia fibra, que controlar a difusão de moléculas de água ao longo de extensões de fibra de substância branca do cérebro (Figura 1).
