Den nuværende protokol beskriver lysark fluorescerende mikroskopi og automatiserede softwareassisterede metoder til at visualisere og præcist kvantificere prolifererende og sovende Trypanosoma cruzi parasitter og T-celler i intakte, ryddede organer og væv. Disse teknikker giver en pålidelig måde at evaluere behandlingsresultater og tilbyde ny indsigt i parasit-vært interaktioner.
