En enkel och tillförlitlig metod för isolering och odling av neurala stamceller från kasserade mänskliga foster kortikal vävnad beskrivs. Kulturer från kända mänskliga neurologiska sjukdomar kan användas för karakterisering av patologiska cellulära och molekylära processer, samt ge en plattform för att bedöma farmakologiska effekt.
