Wij hebben ectopically NR1 subeenheid van NMDA receptor gelabeld met groen fluorescent proteïne in menselijke embryonale cellen (HEK293) als antigeen te detecteren autoantilichamen tegen NMDA receptor in het bloed van patiënten verdacht met auto-immune encefalitis. Deze eenvoudige methode kan geschikt voor screeningonderzoek in klinische instellingen zijn.
