Laser-Ablation Elektrospray-Ionisation (LAESI) ist eines Atmosphärendruck-Ionenquelle für die Massenspektrometrie. Im Imaging-Modus, ein mittleres Infrarot-Laser-Sonden die Verteilung der Moleküle über einen Gewebeschnitt oder einen Biofilm. Diese Technik stellt einen neuen Ansatz für die unterschiedlichsten bioanalytische Untersuchungen unter nativen experimentellen Bedingungen durchgeführt.
