Här presenterar vi ett protokoll som innebär att genetiskt kopplade spektralt distinkta photoactivatable och fluorescerande proteiner. Dessa fluorescerande protein chimärer möjliggöra kvantifiering av den PA-FP-fraktionen som är photoactivated att vara fluorescerande, dvs ljusaktivering effektivitet. Protokollet visar att olika lägen av ljusaktivering ger olika ljusaktivering effektivitetsvinster.
