Eine nicht markierte, nicht-radioisotopische Methode zur Bestimmung der Uracil-DNA-Glykosylase-Aktivität wurde unter Verwendung der MALDI-TOF-Massenspektrometrie für die direkte apurinische/apyrimidinische standorthaltige Produktanalyse entwickelt. Der Assay erwies sich als ziemlich einfach, spezifisch, schnell und leicht zu bedienen für die DNA-Glykosylase-Messung.
