Burada, otsu bitki biyokütlesinde lignin içeriğinin tahmin edilmesi için değiştirilmiş bir TGA yöntemi sunuyoruz. Bu yöntem lignin ile belirli tiyoether bağları oluşturarak lignin içeriğini tahmin eder ve lignin içeriği tahmini için nispeten küçük bir örnek gerektirdiğinden Klason yöntemine göre bir avantaj sunar.
