Een niet-gelabelde, niet-radio-isotopische methode om uracil-DNA glycosylase activiteit te testen werd ontwikkeld met behulp van MALDI-TOF massaspectrometrie voor directe apurine / apyrimidinische site-bevattende productanalyse. De test bleek vrij eenvoudig, specifiek, snel en gemakkelijk te gebruiken voor DNA-glycosylasemeting.
