Abstract

In this video, we develop an in vivo mouse model for perineural invasion by injecting pancreatic cancer cells into the sciatic nerve. This model helps quantify the extent of invasion and study the interactions between cancer cells and nerves.

Protocol

All procedures involving animal models have been reviewed by the local institutional animal care committee and the JoVE veterinary review board. 1. Preparation of the Mice and Surgery NOTE: 8-week-old, male and female C57BL/6J mice are used in this study. The surgery conditions follow the IACUC rules of our institution.
