Bacteriële cellen zijn ruimtelijk zeer georganiseerd. Volg deze organisatie na verloop van tijd in traag groeiende Myxococcus xanthus cellen en werd een set-up voor fluorescentie live-cel beeldbewerking met hoge Spatio resolutie gedurende enkele generaties ontwikkeld. Met deze methode kon Spatio dynamiek van belangrijke eiwitten voor chromosoom segregatie en celdeling worden vastgesteld.
