Lange-termijn gekweekte interferon-γ enzymgebonden immunospot assay wordt gebruikt als maat voor centraal geheugen responsen en correleert met beschermende anti-mycobacteriële vaccinresponsen. Met deze assay worden perifeer bloed mononucléaire cellen gestimuleerd met mycobacteriële antigenen en interleukine-2 voor 14 dagen, waardoor differentiatie en expansie van centrale geheugen T-cellen.
