Beschrijven we een protocol dat beeldvorming van mitochondriën kan in levende neuronen via fluorescentie microscopie over lange duur. Imaging gedurende langere perioden wordt bereikt door lentivirus-gemedieerde expressie van een mitochondrially gerichte fluorescerend eiwit en het gebruik van een goedkope stage-top incubator, dat is ontworpen en gebouwd in ons laboratorium.
