Dit artikel illustreert een krachtige methode om te kwantificeren mitochondriën of lysosomen in levende cellen. De combinatie van lysosoom - of mitochondriën-specifieke kleurstoffen met fluorescently geconjugeerde antilichamen tegen oppervlakte markeringen zorgt ervoor dat de kwantificering van deze organellen in gemengde cel populaties, zoals primaire cellen geoogst van weefselmonsters, met behulp van Multicolor stroom cytometry.
