Vi præsenterer en protokol, der kombinerer cellisolering og fuldcelle patch-clamp-optagelse til måling af de primære dissocierede epitelcellers elektriske egenskaber fra rotte-cauda-epididymiderne. Denne protokol tillader undersøgelse af de primære epididymepitelcellers funktionelle egenskaber for yderligere at belyse epididymis fysiologiske rolle.
