Protokollen beskriver metoden til at indlæse et fluorescerende calciumfarvestof gennem den afskårne nerve i musemotoriske nerveterminaler. Derudover præsenteres en unik metode til registrering af hurtige calciumtransienter i de perifere nerveender ved hjælp af konfokal mikroskopi.
