Een muismodel van uropathogene E. coli (UPEC) transurethrale inenting om latente intracellulaire blaasreservoirs en daaropvolgende blaasblootstelling aan G. vaginalis vast te stellen om terugkerende UPEC-UTI te induceren, wordt aangetoond. Ook aangetoond zijn de opsomming van bacteriën, urinecytologie en in situ blaasfixatie en -verwerking voor scanningelektronenmicroscopie.
