Experimentele muismodellen van allergische astma bieden nieuwe mogelijkheden voor het bestuderen van de ziekte van pathogenese en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe therapeutica. Deze modellen zijn zeer geschikt voor het meten factoren die de allergische immuunrespons, ontsteking van de luchtwegen en longen pathofysiologie.
