Aditya Roy is a distinguished researcher and academic in the field of computational material science. He began his academic journey with a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institution of Technology (NIT) Agartala, India followed by an M.Tech from NIT Srinagar,India and culminating in a PhD from NIT Silchar, India.
His research focuses on multi-scale materials modeling and analysis, molecular dynamics simulation, and nanomaterials, with expertise in graphene, carbon nanotubes, boron-nitride nanotubes, and their heterostructures. His innovative work has been published in numerous reputable SCI and Scopus indexed journals, highlighting his significant contributions to the scientific community.
Throughout his career, he has engaged in collaborative research with esteemed institutions, including Indian Institution of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, IIT Bombay, and Swansea University in the UK. These collaborations have significantly advanced the understanding and application of computational material science.
Outside of his professional achievements, he is an avid football enthusiast. He has played as a midfielder for various local clubs across India and is a passionate supporter of Real Madrid, with Cristiano Ronaldo being his all-time favorite player. He also enjoys playing volleyball and cricket.
A dedicated animal lover, he is actively involved in several NGOs focused on rescuing street dogs, reflecting his compassionate nature and commitment to community service.
