Aktiviteten i neuronala system kräver ofta synkrona aktionspotentialens utsläpp från nervceller inom en viss population. Till exempel pulser av gonadotropinfrisättande hormon (GnRH) sannolikt kräver samordnad verksamhet mellan GnRH nervceller. Vi presenterar vår metod för att tillförlitligt få samtidiga elektrofysiologiska inspelningar från diffust fördelade GnRH nervceller.
