This video presents the surgical procedure for image-guided tumor resection and implantation of a bio-scaffold seeded with genetically engineered mesenchymal stem cells or MSCs expressing tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand or TRAIL. These therapeutic MSCs have the potential in treatment of brain tumors.

Protocol

All procedures involving animal models have been reviewed by the local institutional animal care committee and the JoVE veterinary review board. 1.
