We beschrijven de snelle isolatie van primaire murine type II alveolaire epitheelcellen (AECII) door flowcytometrische negatieve selectie. Deze AECII vertonen hoge levensvatbaarheid en zuiverheid en zijn geschikt voor diverse functionele en moleculaire studies over hun rol bij luchtwegaandoeningen zoals auto of infectieziekten.
