Et bærbart system som er i stand til å måle steady-state visuell fremkalte potensialer ble utviklet og prøvd på 65 amatør rugby spillere over 18 uker for å undersøke SSVEP som en potensiell elektrofysiologisk biomarkør for hjernerystelse. Spillernes basislinjer ble målt før sesongen, med retesting for pålitelighet, hjernerystelse og restitusjonsvurdering som ble utført innenfor kontrollerte tidsperioder, henholdsvis.
