Een draagbaar systeem dat in staat is om steady-state visueel opgeroepen potentialen te meten, werd ontwikkeld en getest op 65 amateurrugbyspelers gedurende 18 weken om SSVEP te onderzoeken als een potentiële elektrofysiologische biomarker voor hersenschudding. De basislijnen van spelers werden voorafgaand aan het seizoen gemeten, waarbij hertesten op betrouwbaarheid, hersenschudding en herstelbeoordeling werden uitgevoerd binnen gecontroleerde tijdsperioden, respectievelijk.
