Dit artikel beschrijft een werkprotocol op de foto dendritische stekels van hippocampale neuronen in vitro met behulp van Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM). Superresolutietechnieken gebruik van SIM biedt beeldresolutie aanzienlijk verder gaan dan het licht limiet diffractie in alle drie ruimtelijke dimensies, waardoor de beeldvorming van individuele vertakte stekels met verbeterde details.
