Donna Gibson is the Director, Library Services for the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center Library and has been in this role since August 2009. Ms. Gibson joined MSK in 2004 as the Associate Director, User Services. Prior to MSK Cancer Center, she worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb in various roles in managing research libraries and information centers and working on enterprise-wide projects. She won several internal awards to include: PRI STAR Award, Outstanding Service and Results Marketing KIR Products, and many more. Ms. Gibson is committed to executing knowledge management initiatives to improve business results by educating, innovating, and collaborating with users. She is focused on delivering services that enhance the user’s information retrieval experience from start to finish. Under her leadership, the library launched a new public-facing website in a responsive web-design, Synapse (connection to MSK authors and their publications), a research data management program, the MSK Library Blog, a Systematic Review Service, and ORCID@MSK. Ms. Gibson contributes to several professional associations (MLA, SLA, AAHSL) and sits on several external library advisory boards. Ms. Gibson received her master’s degree in Library Science from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She also has her Project Management Certificate from Boston University and considers herself a lifelong learner.
