Sourik received his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, India, after completing his Master’s from IIT Madras, India. During his Ph.D., he was a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar at the Tufts University, USA, and a young scientist at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, Germany. He believes in the need for innovative ways to communicate science to a broader audience, contrary to the traditional science communication methods. As a Science Editor at JoVE, he wishes to establish a bridge between scientists and ordinary people. His hobbies include traveling, listening to TED talks, volunteering, cooking, and listening to music.
