Im Hinblick auf die 3R-Prinzips entwickeln sich Atemwege Modelle als Alternativen zum Tierversuch. Vor allem für die Risikobewertung der Atemwege Substanzen ist ein Mangel an entsprechenden Assays. Hier beschreiben wir die Verwendung von menschlichen Lunge präzise geschliffenen Scheiben für die Bewertung von Stoffen in der Luft.
