Dysregulerad intestinal epitelbarriärfunktion och immunsvar är kännetecken för inflammatorisk tarmsjukdom som fortfarande är dåligt undersökt på grund av brist på fysiologiska modeller. Här beskriver vi en mus intestinal loop modell som använder en väl-vascularized och exteriorized tarm segment för att studera mucosal permeabilitet och leukocyte rekrytering in vivo.
