De Wachter is een nitinol toestel dat ontworpen is om permanent geïmplanteerd worden op, of iets distaal van, de opening van het linker atrium aanhangsel (LAA) om bloedstolsels te vangen voordat ze verlaat de LAA, het voorkomen van trombo-embolische beroerte.
