In this video, a vertical sleeve gastrectomy procedure is performed on an experimental mouse model. This procedure helps remove a significant portion of the stomach along its greater curvature.

Protocol

All procedures involving animal models have been reviewed by the local institutional animal care committee and the JoVE veterinary review board. 1. Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and Sham Procedures On the day of surgery, weigh mice to obtain a baseline weight measurement.
