Persistens av antibiotika beskriver evnen til små subpopulasjoner i en sensitiv isogen populasjon til forbigående å tolerere høye doser bakteriedrepende antibiotika. Den nåværende protokollen kombinerer tilnærminger for å karakterisere antibiotikapersistensfenotypen på molekylært og cellulært nivå etter å ha utsatt Escherichia coli for dødelige doser ofloksacin.
