Het doel van het protocol is het creëren van vloeibaar kristallijne polymeerlagen die mechanisch onder continu licht bestraling oscilleren kunnen. We beschrijven zeer gedetailleerd de Ontvangenis van vrijstaande films, van de vloeibare kristallen uitlijning methode om de foto-bediening. Het experimentele protocol toegepast ter voorbereiding van dit materiaal is breed toepasbare.
